Allison Meloy:

Alison Joanna Meloy, 28 died at home.

She was born Oct. 25, 1972 in Atlanta, a beloved daughter of Alice Loving Deal and Robert David Deal Sr. of Myrtle Beach and Joseph Anthony Meloy and Mary D. Meloy of Boca Raton Fla.

She was a graduate student in the government department and a teaching assistant at the University of Virginia. She also worked at the Sorenson Institute of Political Leadership.

Survivors in addition to her parents, include five grandmothers, Alice Louise Loving of Myrtle Beach, Berniece Owens Deal of High Point, N.C., Angela S. DeLorme of Charleston, Dorothea H. Loving of Walnut Creek, Calif., and Cleo Meloy Youngblood of Tyler, Texas; four brothers, Robert David Deal Jr., of Myrtle Beach, Ryan Meloy, Sean Meloy and Cory Meloy, all of Boca Raton, Fla. and her faithful companion, her dog, Ariel.

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Socastee United Methodist Church. Memorials may be made to Foundry United Methodist Church. 1500 16th St. N. W. Washington, D.C. 20036. Teague Funeral Home in Charlottesville, Va. is in charge.

Jay Long

James F. "Jamie" Long III, 26, of Myrtle Pointe, died Monday, Sept 29, 1997, at home.

He was born Feb., 26 1971, in Charlotte, N.C., a son of James and Judy Belk Long. Mr. Long was a graduate of Georgetown High School and was the store manager at Sport Spectacular, Broadway at the Beach.

Survivors, in addition to his parents of Garden City Beach include a sister, Jeana Long Porter of Murrells Inlet, his paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. James Long Sr. of Charlotte, N.C., and his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. E.P. Belk of Matthews, N.C.

The family will receive friends at the home in Garden City Beach. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Belin United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Hillcrest Mausoleum. Memorials may be made to Belin Methodist Church, P.O. Box 528, Murrells Inlet 29576. Goldfinch Funeral Home, beach chapel, is in charge.

Jon P. Maus

The funeral for Jon "Jonny" Patrick Maus, 16, of 608 Reef Road will be Thursday at 10.a.m. at St Joseph's Catholic Church on Grandview Road in Hanover, PA. Burial will be in Annuciation Catholic Cemetary in McSherrystown, Pa.

Jon died Sunday Oct. 2, 1988. He was born in Hanover, Pa., a son of Jeffrey Wayne Maus and Jill Allen Oliver. He was an 11th-grade student at Socastee High School.

The family will receive friends from 2-4 p.m. today and from 7-9 tonight, in Panebaker Funeral Home, 311 Broadway St. in Hanover PA. Panebaker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements and Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel, is in charge of local arrangements.

Kent Thornton

SOUTH LITCHFIELD BEACH

The funeral for Miss Kathleen Kent Thornton, 15, a Socastee High School student, will be at 2 p.m. today in All Saints, Waccamaw, Episcopal Church. Officiating will be the Rev Kent Belmore Jr. Burial will be in the churchyard, directed by Mayer Funeral Home of Georgetown.

Ken Stalvey

Kenneth "Ken" Stalvey Ronald Stalvey Jr., 20 of Socastee died Wednesday, May 13, 1992.

Born in Horry County, he was a son of Kenneth Ronald "Ronnie" and Linda Martin Stalvey. He was a member of the S.C. Army National Guard and a former Boy Scout.

Survivors include his parents of Myrtle Beach; his wife, Joann Stalvey of Myrtle Beach; a sister, Wendy Lynn Cooper of Myrtle Beach; his maternal grandmother, Ruth Inez Martin of Conway; and his paternal grandmother, Hylia Stalvey of Myrtle Beach. The family will receive friends from 7-9 tonight at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Socastee Pentecostal Holiness Church with the Rev. George Cashwell and the Rev. Reese Miles officiating. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery directed by the funeral home.

Mike Clubb

Michael Edward Clubb, 28, of Arcadia Drive, died Monday, July 2, 2000, in Pawley's Island.

He was born Oct. 8, 1971, in Myrtle Beach, a son of Walter Clubb and Mary Lee Hudgins Thaggard. Mr. Clubb operated Rainbow Irrigation C. with his father. He was a loving son, brother and friend who cared for children and animals.

Survivors, in addition to his mother of Myrtle Beach and his father of Myrtle Beach, include three sisters, Teresa Melton, Linda Mattice and Deborah Clubb, all of Myrtle Beach; his paternal grandmother, Francis Clubb of Hendersonville, N.C.; his maternal grandmother, Martha Goldsmith of Tampa , Fla.; and several aunts and uncles.

Visitation will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, beach chapel. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Ocean Woods Cemetery.
